Ahead of Yom Kippur (September 28, 2025), our dedicated volunteers visited the ‘Dana-Dwek’ Children’s Hospital (Ichilov) in Tel Aviv with the goal of bringing joy to the young patients.<\/p>\n
The volunteers visited various departments, including General Pediatrics, Pediatric Orthopedics, Pediatric Surgery, Pediatric Rehabilitation, and the Pediatric Emergency Room. With high spirits and a heartfelt desire to uplift, our volunteers began their mission.<\/p>\n
During the visit, volunteers distributed age-appropriate gifts and made every effort to encourage the children, who responded with wide, bright smiles. The activities included entertaining tricks with balls, soap bubbles, and card magic, sparking great excitement among everyone present.<\/p>\n
To safeguard the health of the patients and prevent exposure to infections, our volunteers refrained from entering the Pediatric Hemato-Oncology ward and the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). However, parents from these wards who noticed our activity approached us to receive gifts for their children. One mother personally thanked us, noting that due to the pressure and lack of time, she hadn’t been able to provide toys for her hospitalized son.<\/p>\n
The children and their families were deeply moved and overjoyed by our visit. We believe there is immense importance in bringing joy to hospital patients, as hospitalization is inherently a difficult experience that weighs on one\u2019s morale\u2014especially for children.<\/p>\n
We would like to thank our dear volunteers for investing their time and energy despite the busy holiday season. Our gratitude also goes to the sweet children and their families for the privilege of sharing these moments with them.<\/p>\n
