B”H<\/b><\/p>\n

A Legacy of Valor: Honoring Major Dvir Tzion Revach, Hy”d<\/b><\/h3>\n

Major Dvir Tzion Revach, Hy”d, began his distinguished service in the IDF in 2015 as a combat soldier in the Nahal Brigade. After excelling in the infantry officers’ course, he returned to the field to command a platoon within his battalion\u2019s elite reconnaissance unit. In his final assignment, he served with honor as a Company Commander in the Nahal Brigade’s 932nd Battalion.<\/p>\n

In the final days before the initial ceasefire and the historic release of hostages, Major Revach led his men through a fierce and complex engagement in Beit Hanoun. There, alongside his deputy Captain Eitan Shechnazi, Hy”d, he made the ultimate sacrifice in a display of supreme heroism. He was only 28 years old.<\/p>\n

Dvir\u2019s personal life was a testament to love and continuity. In 2021, he married Or in an intimate ceremony during the pandemic, and in 2022, they were blessed with their firstborn son, Tzur.<\/p>\n

From the outbreak of the war until his fall on January 6, 2025 (6 Tevet 5785), Dvir stood at the forefront of the defense of the Gaza envelope. His Battalion Commander, Lt. Col. Dotan Malul, paid tribute to his unwavering presence: “Dvir was the heartbeat of this battalion; he fought by my side throughout the entire campaign, rarely ever leaving the front to return home.”<\/i><\/p>\n

Even when hindered by a painful injury sustained during the fighting, Dvir refused to step back, choosing instead to remain with his soldiers and lead them through the fire. His entire adult life was defined by a singular, noble ambition: to dedicate his every breath to the protection of the State of Israel and the Jewish people.<\/p>\n

In moments of reflection with his wife, Or, when she spoke of the heavy burden of managing their home alone, Dvir would offer a source of strength: “The People of Israel stand behind you.”<\/i><\/p>\n

Dvir leaves behind a grieving but proud family: his parents, siblings, grandparents, his wife Or, and their young son, Tzur. Five months after his passing, Or gave birth to their second daughter, whom she named Pe’er<\/b> (Splendor).<\/p>\n

The following prayer, discovered among Dvir\u2019s writings from before the war, echoes the purity of his soul:<\/p>\n

\n

“May it be Your will, Hashem, my G-d and G-d of my fathers, to grant me blessing in my endeavors and the strength to sanctify Your Name in this world… Help me to successfully guard Your Holy Land and to master the art of victory in the sacred battles that threaten Your people. Please, my G-d, make me a vessel for Your mission\u2014grant me the merit to sanctify Your Name.”<\/i><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Driven by a desire to honor his sacrifice and provide for the family he so dearly loved, Dvir\u2019s comrades and family turned to us to help secure their financial future. Together with the Charidy<\/b> platform, we launched a global crowdfunding initiative.<\/p>\n

Thanks to the profound kindness of the community, we successfully raised over 880,000 NIS<\/b>.<\/p>\n

In a moving ceremony attended by Or, her father Rabbi Asaf Cohen, and Netanel Amar\u2014whose leadership was instrumental to the campaign\u2019s success\u2014we presented Or with the initial distribution of these funds. With grace and humility, Or presented the organization with a memorial gift: Dvir\u2019s sacred prayer, beautifully etched onto a stone tablet.<\/p>\n

Or spoke eloquently of Dvir\u2019s lifelong devotion and the significance of their daughter\u2019s name, Pe’er<\/b>, inspired by the words of Isaiah: “To grant the mourners of Zion… splendor (Pe’er) instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning.”<\/i> (Isaiah 61:3). To Or, their daughter represents a living redemption\u2014the splendor that rises from the depths of sorrow.<\/p>\n

On behalf of Or and the entire family, we express our heartfelt gratitude to Netanel Amar, the Charidy team for their selfless partnership, and each of the 3,424 donors<\/b> who became partners in this act of true chessed<\/i>.<\/p>\n

May the memory of Major Dvir Tzion Revach, Hy”d, be a blessing, and may we soon see days of peace and consolation for all of Israel.<\/p>\n
