Mincha in Middle of a Tish - Ish Tsadik
Question:
During an Admor’s Tish, Mincha was prayed. Afterward, am I required to recite a new blessing (Bracha) before continuing to eat?
Answer

Since the prayers took place during the Tish without the participants leaving the room, it is not considered an interruption (Hefsek); therefore, one may continue eating based on the original blessing (Bracha Rishona).

However, if they went outside to pray, the following rules apply:

  • Those who did not wash for bread: They must recite the Bracha Rishona again before eating. The Bracha Acharona (final blessing) recited at the end will cover everything eaten throughout the entire duration.

  • Those who washed and ate Challah: They do not need to recite the blessing over the food again. However, they are required to wash their eyes (Netilat Yadayim) again, but without reciting the blessing over the washing.
