Our volunteer team consists of volunteers spread across the country.
The activity is carried out partly with the help of volunteer youth, who volunteer with the children as part of a contribution to the community, and partly by adult volunteers. All volunteers receive training and guidance prior to embarking on this activity, in coordination with the hospitals.
Volunteering in Hospitals
As part of its comprehensive activities of helping and supporting patients, the association provides emotional support to sick children hospitalized in hospitals. Children who receive ongoing treatment are required to be hospitalized and cannot leave their homes, which cuts them off from their natural environment, from friends and generally from social activities. The association has made it its mission, as part of its activities, to help and support these children.
How is the activity carried out?
When does the activity take place?
We try to hold the activity at times when the children are not in treatment or any other activity.
We choose the times so that they will keep the children busy and divert their thoughts from the pain, even if only a little.
Therefore, the activity is usually carried out on Fridays, on holiday evenings, weekdays and even on Independence Day, when the volunteers give up spending time with their families in favor of this sacred activity.
