Erev Shavuot, 2026: Bringing the Light of the Holiday to Mayanei HaYeshua Medical Center

On the eve of Shavuot—a time when everyone is typically immersed in holiday preparations—our dedicated volunteers arrived at the Mayanei HaYeshua Medical Center with a single mission: to bring joy to the children and patients confined to hospital beds.

Equipped with a variety of gifts and high spirits, our team began the day with song and celebration. They first visited the various pediatric wards and the pediatric emergency room, handing out age-appropriate gifts to each child. The children and their families were deeply moved by the surprise visit, which transformed the hospital atmosphere into one of celebration.

The volunteers then continued to the Internal Medicine department, where they spent time with the adult patients, offering words of encouragement and a festive flower to each individual. The sight of our volunteers in the wards created a truly moving atmosphere, bridging the gap between the hospital room and the holiday spirit outside.

At a time when the natural desire is to be at home in the embrace of one’s family, we see immense importance in these activities. We are profoundly grateful to our dear volunteers who invested their time and energy on the eve of the holiday to ensure that no patient felt forgotten.

We thank the patients and their families for the privilege of sharing these moments with them. We wish all of Israel robust health and abundant joy.
