On the night of the seventh candle of Chanukah (December 31, 2024), our dedicated volunteers arrived to bring joy and warmth to the patients at the ‘Geha’ Mental Health Center in Petach Tikva.
The volunteers visited Ward B, Ward E, and the closed/secured Ward C.
During a holiday filled with joy and light, we saw the special significance in spreading light throughout our surroundings, especially to those who had to spend the holiday hospitalized.
Equipped with musical instruments, wonderful spirits, and delightful little surprises (such as dreidels and sweet treats), the volunteers moved between the various wards. The patients and staff were absolutely thrilled by our arrival. Together, everyone sang Chanukah songs, rejoiced, and lit the Chanukah candles in each ward.
We hope that we contributed, even if just a little, to the festive holiday atmosphere. Patients personally thanked the volunteers for coming to lift their spirits during these moments.
We extend our deepest gratitude to all the wonderful volunteers who invested their time and energy in encouraging and bringing joy. We wish all the patients, and the entire Nation of Israel, immense joy, light, and excellent health!
Happy Chanukah!
