Benjamin Achimeir, H”yd, was murdered in a brutal terror attack at just 14 years old, fighting bravely against his attackers while out herding sheep. Following this tragedy, his parents reached out to us for assistance in raising funds to establish a Beit Midrash (House of Torah Study) in his memory, located at the very site where his life was taken.
In collaboration with the fundraising platform Givechak, we launched a campaign for this noble cause, successfully raising over 1,310,000 ILS.
A deeply moving and powerful meeting was held to present the raised funds to the family. The gathering was attended by Benjamin’s parents, Ophir and Miriam; Rabbi David Turner, who has taken upon himself to serve as the Head of the Beit Midrash; Mr. Yuval Neuman, the Yeshiva’s administrator; and representatives of our organization who partnered in spearheading this initiative: Rabbi Chaim Idels, Mr. David Shirel, and Mr. Chanan Bar Sela.
During the meeting, Rabbi David Turner shared details about the Beit Midrash’s establishment phases, proudly noting that 42 students are already studying there today.
Rabbi Idels offered a warm, heartfelt blessing to the Achimeir family, Rabbi Turner, and the staff of the Beharat Chaim Beit Midrash, wishing them tremendous success. He prayed that they merit to magnify the Torah and glorify it, and that all this sacred work serve as an elevation for the pure soul of Benjamin, Hy”d.
We would like to express our deepest gratitude to all the donors who contributed to this exalted cause.
