B”H 8th of Nissan, 5786
As the festival of Passover drew near, and against the backdrop of the ongoing war, we received a deeply moving appeal: to bring a glimmer of light and joy to the residents of the ‘Ramat Or’ skilled nursing facility in Ramat Gan.
Despite the hectic preparations for the holiday and the prevailing security challenges across the country, our devoted volunteers rose to the occasion with immense heart. Armed with musical instruments and a shared spirit of kindness, they arrived at the facility ready to transform the day.
At first, a heavy silence and a sense of somberness filled the halls. Yet, as the music began to play, the atmosphere slowly underwent a beautiful transformation, blossoming into a scene of genuine celebration. It was profoundly moving to see the residents’ faces light up; our visit offered them a vital sanctuary from the tension and isolation that so often accompany these trying times.
Both the residents and the staff expressed their deepest appreciation for the visit and for the effort invested in brightening their spirits.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our remarkable volunteers. On the very eve of a holiday, and despite the sirens and security alerts in the area, they chose to give of themselves to bring happiness to others.
We wish the entire House of Israel a Kosher and Joyful Passover—may we soon merit complete redemption and steadfast health for all.
