Ran, a 54-year-old chef, husband, and father of three, is bravely battling advanced, metastatic cancer of the lower esophagus.
To fight the disease, Ran requires a specialized medication that is currently not covered by the national healthcare basket for his specific type of cancer. The cost of each individual treatment stands at approximately 24,500 ILS. Recognizing the immense financial burden, Ran’s brother reached out to our organization for urgent assistance in raising the funds needed to secure this vital medication.
In partnership with the JGive crowdfunding platform, we launched a campaign to support Ran, successfully raising over 520,000 ILS.
During a deeply moving meeting held to hand over the gathered funds, Ran shared with us the profound challenges he faces daily and the resilience with which he confronts his illness.
